All Titan Cheerleaders are invited to cheer with the Bantam squads this weekend to show as much support as we can for our boys! Please contact me asap so I can get a head count. Attention: There is a $1 admission for adults and children over 6 for playoff games in Cameron tomorrow.  All cheerleaders please wear black long sleeves under your uniform tomorrow!  We will do our halftime cheer wearing skirt, shell, and black long sleeves.

Updates!

1. Thursday is our last practice: We will only practice for 30 minutes! 6:00-6:30pm
2. I need a couple volunteers to work the gate for the home game on Saturday.  Please let me know if you would be interested asap! thanks!!
3. The girls have been working on a special cheer presentation in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month that they will present to the fans at halftime of their games in Cameron.  I am requesting Titan Black cheerleaders to join the Bantam Black cheerleaders, and Titan Gold cheerleaders to join Bantam gold cheerleaders for their halftime routines.  Titan Black please be there at 9:30. Titan Gold please be there at 11:30.  Please let me know by Thursday if your cheerleader can not be there so we can alter the routine if needed.  We will have a fundraiser table set up Saturday selling pink cupcakes, and breast cancer awarness items, donating half our proceeds.
4. End of year celebration: Friday 10/26 at 6:30pm. at our place. 7851 SE St. Rt. C hwy.(3 miles north off 36 hwy, right hand side, grey ranch on curve, watch for balloons) I am inviting all cheerleaders and their families to our house for a Bonfire and Hay Ride to honor each of our cheerleaders for their hard work this year.  Please bring a side dish, own buns and hot dogs to roast and chairs.  Smores, plates, utencils and condiments will be provided. 

Playoff Game Times

Playoff schedule for this Saturday October 20 In Cameron: Cameron Bantam Black vs Excelsior Gold at 9:00 am.  Cameron Bantam Gold vs Lawson at 11:00 am.  Consolation Game schedule for this Sunday October 21st: Cameron Titan Black vs Polo at 1:45 pm in Gallatin.  Cameron Titan Gold vs Braymer at 3:30 in Gallatin.  We will have practice this week same time (6-7pm) and location.  The girls will be doing a performance at halftime at our home games.  I will be working on details today and let everyone know tomorrow at practice and will post. 

Playoff Info

 

Cameron is the host location for the SMYFL Playoffs this year. We will be hosting 2 Titan Playoff Games on Wednesday October 17 at 6:30 & 8:15, as well as hosting 2 Bantam games & 2 Titan games on Saturday October 20th starting at 9:00 am. Consolation games will be played next Sunday October 21st. Consolation game opponents and times will be determined after this weekends games are played.

Picture Schedule

CYFC Pictures will be October 7th at the H.S. Football Field. Titan Black @ 1:00pm, Bantam Black @ 2:00pm, Titan Gold @ 3:00pm, Bantam Gold @ 4:00pm Football players and cheerleaders both meet at your scheduled time.  Cheerleaders please dress in shell, skirt, socks, cheer shoes and hair bow.

Weekend Events

Cheer: Wear your WU jackets to H.S. game tomorrow if you can attend.  Game starts at 7:00pm.  The coaches will not be responsible for supervising cheerleaders during the game.  We plan to meet 2min before halftime by the concession area.  This Sunday, we will be cheering for the Special Olympics flag football Cameron team at 1:30 and 3:30 at the Cameron football field.  Please dress in uniform for this event.  These events are not mandatory, but are great ways to provide support to our community and represent our league proudly.  All cheerleaders please consider attending! Practices from now on will be from 6-7pm on Tues and Thurs. 

Cheer Sale

Tomorrow at the games we will be selling a limited supply of cheer bags, bows and misc. cheer gear!  We will also be taking orders for the window stickers and yard signs tomorrow.

Window Sticker/Yard Sign Order and Extended Practice

We have started sales for window stickers and yard signs.  The order form is on the blog at the top of the left column.  You can see the designs in color there or on the Facebook page.  I would like to have orders turned in as soon as possible.  This Saturday all of our squads play here in Cameron at the football field.  Each squad will perform their dance during the halftime of their game, please plan to watch and support them during that time.  Practice will be extended till 8:00pm Thursday.  We will be using this time to prepare for the dance and decorate posters for the home game.  Please bring a bag of candy to practice Thursday to make goodie bags.  If you have not paid for a hair bow please do so Thursday at practice.  Thank you!

Bows and Checklist

Please bring $4.00 tomorrow to practice to purchase a hair bow to wear to this season's games.  We ask that all girls purchase this bow so we all match and look sharp!  I have the warm-ups!! I will pass  out the warm-ups and altered shells tomorrow at practice.  In preparation for Saturday's game, and every game for the season here are a few things to remember:  Whether you carpool or drive seperate, please be at the game 30 minutes before the game starts.  This allows the girls to get stretched and ready to go.  I would like all parents to try and meet your cheerleaders squad coach this Thursday at practice if you don't already know them.  Ask if you need directions or want to carpool!  Please get in contact with your squads coach and get their phone number in case you need to contact them.  Please let your squad coach know if you will be late or will not be at the game. **Cheerleaders need to show up to the game with their shell, skirt, spankies, hair bow, socks and cheer shoes on.  (Only if the weather permits, or the coach contacts you, wear your warm-up outfit.)  Cheerleaders need to always bring along their warm-up outfit just in case weather changes, please leave this in the car or a bag.  Please bring water or money for concession and a bag to keep your items in.  Your coach will have the poms for the whole squad.  I have went over expectations with the girls, first and foremost I want them to have fun, but I also expect them to present themselves properly showing pride for our league and respect for our coaches and each other, including the opposing schools.  They have worked hard and I am excited to see them show it off and cheer our Dragons to victory!      

Upcoming Home Game Weekend

Saturday 9/15 is our Home Game Host date for the league.  We need volunteers to work concession, please see your squad coach to sign up.  If you did not donate for Jamboree please bring a 12pk of Dr. Pepper or Diet Coke for concession donation to practice.  The cheerleaders will be performing a dance during the halftime of their game on this date!

Cheer: The 1st Annual Cheer Jamboree was a success! Thanks to all of the volunteers and coaches for your help last night and great job to the CYF Cheerleaders! Videos of the halftime dance and sideline routine have been posted by Ashley on our Facebook page to help the girls practice!

Jamboree location update!

Cheer: The Cheer Jamboree will be located at the Cameron H.S. gym! 4-8pm Parents/visitors there will be a concession with sandwiches, chips and drinks! See you soon!

It's Jamboree Time!

Cheerleaders need to be to the Cameron football field by 3:45 tomorrow for our Jamboree. In case of rain we will be relocating to the High School gym. I will let everyone know via text if that occurs. Parents and family members please feel free to stay and watch from the bleachers. We will be presenting our dance at 7:45pm to the parents/visitors so please be sure to join us at that time! See you tomorrow!!

Jamboree / Cheer Book

Happy Friday! Next Saturday, August 25th is our Cheer Jamboree from 4-8pm at the Cameron High School Football field! I would like the girls there by 3:45. They will be wearing their new Friday t-shirts, which will hopefully be at Thursday's practice to hand out, comfy shorts, cheer socks, cheer shoes (please put in the black and white Zebra print insert in the shoes) and have hair pulled back away from face. **We are requesting water bottles, gatoraide bottles, and individual bags of chips to supply a concession area, please bring these next Tues. or Thurs. to practice. We also need volunteers to work the concession area, we will have a sign up sheet at practice. We truely appreciate your involvement and volunteering!! I am very excited to make this event happen for our girls to meet other cheerleaders in our league and have our H.S. Pom Squad teach us new dances/cheers. Please ask if you have any questions! The Cheer Book is posted, you will find it at the bottom of the blog, the link is also posted on the CYFC Facebook page, it is available to print so the girls can practice on their own time!! If you have any alterations to be done to your uniform please get them to me ASAP thanks!

Practice at Soccer Field

Practice will be located at the soccer field for the rest of the season. We will meet on the east side 6-7:30 for the rest of August. Reminder that parent t-shirt orders are due Thursday, see April at practice to place your order.

Practice Location

We will continue to practice at the pool park until notified. For the rest of this month we will be practicing on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-7:30pm. Fundraiser/T-shirt sales

The girls were sent home with a packet containing our fundraiser of Thirty One Spirit Collection products. Please sell what you can and return by August 14th, last date to turn these in is August 28th. We have supporter t-shirt/hoodie's for purchase. Please see coach April at practice to see the designs and place your order. The last day to order is next Thursday 8/16.

Camp Location Update!!

We will be having Cheer Camp "Freeze Out 2012" at the Pool Park this week, 6-8pm Tues, Wednesday, and Thursday. Please meet at the shelter located by the Tennis Court, we will be practicing on the west side of the pool in the shaded grass area. Please come dressed in comfy cool cloting and tennis shoes (this applies to every practice). Also, please bring a water bottle. If you missed hand-outs tonight I will have your items with me at camp. Reminder: cheerleaders can not practice if we do not have a physical and copy of birth certificate of file, bring warm-up jacket if needs embroidered, and uniform if needs altered. Cheerleaders be ready to "Freeze Out" this hot weather!!

Uniform and shoe hand-out

Monday 8/6 we will be at the Cameron Middle School commons area from 6-7pm. Please drop by within the hour to try-on and get your uniform and/or shoes. We have everyones shoe/sock/spankie order. Also if you need alterations on your uniform please bring it with you. Let me know if you can't make it! Camp starts Tuesday 8/7-8/9 at the soccer field complex. Reminder that physicals are due by first practice, feel free to bring them with you to the uniform/shoe hand-out Monday.
