Welcome to the 2014 Season!!

1st sign up date is this Saturday June 14th 5:00-7:00 p.m. @ First Baptist Church.  Cheerleaders ages:  3rd graders - 7th graders.  Be prepared to fill out sign up forms and try on uniforms.  If you are a new cheerleader please bring a copy of your birth certificate.  We are excited to see our returning girls and some new faces!

Last Week of the Season events

Please come represent the CYFC league Friday night at the home Varsity football game.  They will be introducing the football players and cheerleaders during halftime.  Wear your warm up jacket and whatever else you want.
Bantam Black is playing for 3rd place Saturday @ 10:00 here in Cameron at the H.S. football field.  I am inviting all cheerleaders to come cheer together for this team.  Please text me if you can make it! 
I hope to see you at both events!!

End of the Year Updates!!

Wow, I can't believe this season is almost over!  After this weekend will be the playoffs.  I do not have schedules for those games yet.  I will post them as soon as I find out!  Tonight was our last official practice!  We will be having our end of year celebration next Tuesday during regular practice time 6-7pm at the pool park.  We will be providing pizza for the girls.  Please feel free to send an easy dessert for the girls to share.  Reminder, this Sunday at 3:30 we are meeting to perform for Kennedy Roach at the Kickin it with Kennedy event at the River of Life Baptist Church.  Wear your blue and pink cheer shirt or your Kennedy supporter shirt.  Hope to see you there!  Enjoy these last couple weeks of cheer!!

Kickin it with Kennedy benefit

I am excited to announce that we are going to be supporting our cheerleader, Kennedy Roach, at the Kickin it with Kennedy benefit! 
Date:  Sunday October 13
Time: 3:30 p.m.-4:00 p.m.
Where:  River of Life Baptist Church  811 S. Walnut St. Cameron
The benefit begins at 3:00 p.m.  I am requesting all of our girls to come and perform for the benefit supporters from 3:30 to 4:00.  We will be doing our dance routine we did at our home game and some chants and cheers.  I would like the cheerleaders to wear the 'free' t-shirt we received (the white with pink and blue lettering) with athletic shorts and tennis shoes.  I really hope to have as many of our girls as possible come show Kennedy how much we support her!!!!  We will also be making a donation to the auction.  I want to put a 'cheer themed bag' together.  Any cheer related donations would be appreciated, from hair bows to water bottles to help fill the bag would be great!  Please let me know if you would like to donate something for it.  All of the proceeds of the benefit auction go to support Kennedy and her family.  Again, I hope to see all of our cheerleaders there to perform and participate in all of the fun activities planned for the afternoon to support Kennedy and help her 'kick' cancer!  Thanks!  Bridgett 

NO practice on Thursday

Practice is cancelled on Thursday.  No more practice the rest of the week.  Have a great weekend cheering!

Practice Update!

Cheer: practice will be held at the pool park tonight and for the rest of the season. Time will be 6-7pm tonight and for the rest of the season.

Pictures Cancelled Today

Football and Cheer pictures are cancelled for today. They are rescheduled for next Sunday 9/22. The time schedule will remain the same. If weather is an issue next Sunday pictures will be taken indoors.

We are practicing at the First Baptist church gym tomorrow night from 6-7:30 to make our posters and banners and practice the routine.  See you then! 

Updates for this Week!!

Practice:  We will practice Tuesday 6-7:30.  We are adding a practice on Wednesday 6-7:00pm!  We will practice Thursday 6-7:30.  Please remember water!!  We are mainly focusing on the routine for our home game this Saturday at practice this week. 
Pictures:  Pictures are scheduled for this Sunday the 15th.  I will pass out a form Tuesday at practice.  Show up at your 'squad' time:

Practice/Bows/Donations & Help/Pictures/Halftime Routine

Practice:  We will practice from 6-7:30 until our home game weekend! 
Bows:  We will have our hair bows to pass out tomorrow.  Please bring your $6 to pay for them tomorrow at practice! 
Donations/Help:  We are still taking donations of pop, water or Gatorade for our host weekend on the 14th:

*We still need a few volunteers to work during the concession on the 14th.  Please visit with your squad coach if you are willing to work.
Pictures:  Pictures are scheduled for the afternoon of Sept. 15th at the H.S. football field.  Times will be announced soon. 
Halftime Routine:  All of our teams play at home on Sept. 14th.  We take this opportunity to do a halftime routine for family members and fans.  Please invite those special ones to support your cheerleader.  The cheerleader will be performing during the halftime of the game they are cheering for.  Cheerleaders need to be practicing the dance we learned at camp, which can be viewed here on the blog.  We are working on it at practice and adding a lot to it, but I still want to encourage practice, practice, practice! 
   

Pictures, Bows, Games

Pictures are tentatively scheduled for Sunday Sept. 15^th at the H.S. football field.  Forms and details will be passed out soon.  Our hair Bows are in the works and will be $6.  They will be passed out next week.  I will have the altered uniforms at practice next week, please see me if you haven’t got yours yet.  GAME INFO:  The cheerleader needs to be to every game 30 minutes prior to the start time.  (games may start early!)  Driving directions can be found by clicking on this link to our league website.  http://www.cyfcleague.com/    I will be leaving it up to each squad coach if they want to organize a car pool, in which they will contact you with plans.  The cheerleader needs to show up to the game dressed in her uniform, socks, shoes (black and white zebra insert put in the side of each shoe) and hair bow (hair pulled up and away from face).  Please always bring a water bottle. It is the cheerleaders responsibility to be with the squad in position during 'game clock time'.  Restroom/snack breaks need to be taken before the game, at halftime or after the game.  We are getting closer to game time and things will all pull together quickly!  If you have any questions please ask your game coach or shoot me a text.  Bridgett          

 

Practice Update!

We will be cutting practice short this week due to the heat.  We will practice from 6:00-7:00 pm tonight and Thursday.  Please remember to bring a water bottle and remind your child to let us know if they aren't feeling well.  Football season weather is unpredictable and I have already prepared the girls by telling them we usually cheer in extremely hot conditions or rain and cold!  See you tonight!  

Reminder and Request

Just a reminder that we do not cheer this weekend at the boys Jamboree.  The calendar on here holds all of our events.  I am requesting for parents/guardians to meet their cheerleaders coach at the end of either Tuesday's or Thursday's practice next week.  Please take a minute when you pick up your cheerleader to introduce yourself to them so you and they will be familiar with each other since that is the coach that your cheerleader will be cheering with at the games.  Also, we are requesting donations for our concession at our home game weekend on Sept. 14th.  Titan cheerleaders please bring a case of water, Bantam Gold please bring a pack of Gatorade, and Bantam Black please bring a 12pk of sprite.  These may be turned in at practice.  Thank you so much for your support!  We will soon be passing out the uniforms that needed alterations, Friday t-shirts, and supporter shirts.  We will also be scheduling pictures soon.       

FYI / Supporter orders

FYI:  In case of inclement weather (rain, cold etc...) practice will go according to schedule.  If there is a change you will be contacted via text, facebook and blog prior to the regular scheduled practice.  Reminder tonight is the last night to order t-shirts/hoodies/decals!!  You can find the form here on the blog or turn in your order at practice tonight.  Reminder the squad list has been posted on here and the calendar is updated with the game schedule!  See you tonight!
